Google Chrome
Look for the permission request
When attempting to copy your signature HTML, Chrome will display a clipboard permission request at the top of the browser.
Reset permission if denied
If you accidentally denied permission, you can reset it by clicking the padlock or info icon in the address bar. Select “Site Settings,” find “Clipboard” in the permissions list, and change it to “Allow.”
Mozilla Firefox
Look for the permission prompt
When you attempt to copy your signature HTML, Firefox will show a permission prompt.
Reset permission if denied
If you previously denied permission, click the padlock icon in the address bar. Select “Site Permissions,” find “Clipboard,” and change the setting to “Allow.”
Microsoft Edge
Look for the permission request
When copying your signature HTML, Edge will display a permission request.
Reset permission if denied
If you need to change previously denied permissions, click the padlock icon in the address bar. Select “Site permissions,” find “Clipboard,” and set it to “Allow.”
Safari
Look for the permission prompt
Safari handles clipboard permissions differently. When trying to copy your signature HTML, you may see a permission prompt.
Reset permission if blocked
If Safari is blocking clipboard access, go to Safari, then Preferences, then Websites. Select “Clipboard” from the side menu, find the Scribe website, and set the permission to “Allow.”
Opera
Look for the permission request
When copying your signature HTML, Opera will display a permission request.
Reset permission if denied
To change permissions you have already set, click the site info icon in the address bar (usually a padlock). Select “Site settings,” find “Clipboard,” and change it to “Allow.”
Brave
Look for the permission request
When copying your signature HTML, Brave will show a permission request.
Reset permission if denied
If you need to change previously set permissions, click the shield icon in the address bar. Select “Site settings,” find “Clipboard,” and change it to “Allow.”
Troubleshooting common issues
Permission request not appearing
Make sure you are using the latest version of your browser. Try refreshing the page and loading it again. If the issue persists, try using a different browser temporarily.Still unable to copy after granting permission
Refresh the page after granting permission. If that does not work, clear your browser cache and cookies. You can also restart your browser entirely and try again.Permission settings reset after browser close
Check if you are using incognito or private browsing mode, which does not save permissions between sessions.
