Create a signature

To create a new signature, click + Create New → Create Signature from the top-right corner of the Signatures page. The creation modal gives you two options:
  • Start from template — Choose a pre-designed signature from Scribe’s library and customize it in the editor
  • Duplicate an existing signature — Select any signature already in your workspace to use as a starting point
Give your signature a name (between 2 and 20 characters). A live preview appears on the right side of the modal so you can see what you’re selecting before creating it. Click Create Signature to open the signature, where you can customize the design, assign teammates, connect an integration, and manage installation. Duplicating an existing signature is the fastest way to create variations — for example, different signatures per department or country that share the same layout but with different branding.

Create a folder

To create a folder, click + Create New → Create Folder from the top-right corner. Enter a folder name (between 2 and 20 characters) and click Save. Folders help you organize signatures by department, brand, country, or any other grouping that makes sense for your team. [screenshot: Create Folder modal]

Organize signatures into folders

You can move a signature into a folder using the menu on the signature card and selecting Move to. You can also drag and drop any signature card directly into a folder. Click on a folder to view the signatures inside, and use the breadcrumb navigation at the top to go back to the main list. [screenshot: folder view with breadcrumb]

Edit a signature

Click the menu on any signature card and select Edit to open the signature in the editor. Any design changes you make are automatically pushed to all your teammates’ installed signatures once you publish — no need to reinstall.

Duplicate a signature

Click the menu on any signature card and select Duplicate. A copy of the signature is created in the same location (root or folder) with the name appended with “(duplicate)”.

Delete a signature

Click the menu on any signature card and select Delete. This removes the signature from your workspace permanently.
Deleting a signature that is currently installed will not automatically remove it from your teammates’ email clients. You’ll need to uninstall the signature first or install a different one in its place.

Edit a folder

Click the menu on any folder card and select Edit to rename it.

Delete a folder

Click the menu on any folder card and select Delete. The folder is removed, but any signatures inside it are moved back to the main signature list — they are not deleted. Next — Filter and search?
